Help didn’t come in time for one of the more unique and beautiful houses in Carondelet, which I had photographed back in March of 2021 (second photo) on Michigan Avenue.
Only a couple of months after taking those photos, a fire gutted it and its neighbor to the south. I am not sure how the fire started, but the results are obvious.
Of course it is still salvageable, but the price tag has now just gone up considerably.
